We'd love to continue helping you increase your AOV by offering pre-purchase and post-purchase upsells...but you have to migrate to OCU Native now.


It's only a few steps. Watch the video to see a walkthrough or follow the steps below.

Step 1.


Install the new OCU Native app from the Shopify App Store here: https://apps.shopify.com/zipify-oneclickupsell

Step 2.


Copy over your upsell funnels from the OCU Legacy app to the OCU Native app. Using side-by-side browser windows is an efficient method for this.

Step 3.


Disable the OCU Legacy app in the Settings > General section by clicking the "Application Status" switcher there to the OFF position.

Step 4.


Enable the OCU Native app in the Settings > General section by clicking the "Application Status" switcher there to the ON position.

Step 5.


Run a live test order on Shopify Checkout to ensure everything functions correctly using the information in this help article.

Step 6.


Delete the OCU Legacy app from your Shopify admin "Apps" section, which will cancel your subscription and billing for OCU Legacy.

Step 7.


 **IMPORTANT - OCU WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT THIS STEP** Select OCU for your Post-purchase page in your Shopify admin. Go here for more information.

Properly Set Up Post-Purchase Pixel Tracking


To ensure you're capturing conversions properly for all orders, even for those that don't reach the Shopify "Order Confirmation" page, the new Post-purchase page additional scripts field has been added at Settings > Checkout > Additional scripts > Post-purchase page in your Shopify admin.


This new field was added by Shopify for the following purposes:

  1. To track the initial order conversion when the post-purchase upsell 1 page loads, to guard against buyer drop-off from Shopify Checkout to Order Confirmation page.

  2. In addition to the initial checkout conversion, this field and your script can also track post-purchase offer conversion(s).

For OCU Merchants Using Subscriptions


OCU Native works with Subscription apps that work on the Shopify Checkout. This means if a subscription is purchased at checkout, you can show a one-time offer on the post-purchase offer page. No configuration is needed on your end, it works automatically.


OCU has also developed an integration with the new Recharge Subscriptions app version that works on the Shopify Checkout. Via the integration, you can offer both one-time and subscription options on your post-purchase offer pages.


To configure that for an offer in any OCU upsell funnel, simply create a subscription for the product in the Recharge app and use that product as the offer. You will see the subscription option show up on the page, depending on the configuration set for it in the Recharge app (one-time & subscription or subscription only).


Note: If a subscription product is purchased at checkout, a subscription can't also be purchased as a post-purchase offer. In this case, the offer page will be skipped if the product has "subscription only" or if it has "one-time & subscription" then the offer page will be shown, but only the one-time option will be available.

Additional Migration Steps For Shopify Checkout Integration with OCU Native


Shopify Checkout is being used for order processing now on this OCU Native App. Here are some additional steps to do when migrating on the Shopify Platform:


  1. Make sure you have a payment processor connected to Shopify Checkout for order processing. More details OCU Native post-purchase offers work with “direct” Credit Card processors like Shopify Payments, the Shop Pay digital wallet (available through Shopify Payments) and PayPal Express Checkout. More details

  2. Shipping for post-purchase offer(s) is no longer calculated dynamically based on your Shopify Shipping settings and is configured manually now instead. More details Ensure that you’ve configured your post-purchase offer page(s) in OCU Native to charge the extra amount for shipping you need charged.

  3. Ensure that your Email and/or SMS auto-responses such as Abandoned Cart and Post-purchase are being triggered by the default Shopify Checkout metrics/events instead of the custom ones used for OCU Legacy Checkout.

Migration is easy and fairly painless...PLUS you can now run all post-purchase upsells through the Shopify Checkout!
